LLB Public Law focuses on the legal code and asks the judge to act as fact-finders, deciding whether a particular party has violated a code. Civil law deals with cases of divorce, child custody, property ownership, disagreements of contracts, and personal and property damage. Civil Law is one of the most important branches of law for every member of the country.

This program seeks to prepare students for a career in the legal profession by introducing them to law-related issues through instruction, study, research, lectures, and seminars. The main areas of study may include contracts, wills, accidents, and properties that result in disputes between and among people and other entities.

Law can be termed as a set of rules meant to regulate the actions of citizens. Law is basically created by a particular country or governmental institution to regulate the actions of its citizens. In the Indian Judicial System, the law is categorized into four parts Criminal law, Civil law, Common law, and Statutory law.

Eligibility Criteria for LLB Public Law

1. Class 12 can opt for a 5-year integrated course that awards an LLB or Bachelor of Laws degree upon completion.

2. Students deciding to study law later in their career can join an LLB course after 3 years of graduation in any stream. This will again be considered a graduate degree in law.

3. Master of Law or LLM is a two years program that can be done by individuals having an LLB degree.

Admission Process

1. One cannot study law after class 12 as it is not offered in India in any undergraduate course. The students have to enroll themselves in the LLB program.

2. For the LLB course of 3 years, the candidates have to score a minimum of 45% marks in the class 10+2 examination from a recognised board.

3. For admission into the BA LLB course of 5 years, the criteria remain the same. However, there is a relaxation in the marks percentage for reserved category students.
